Novel comparison

I know this is a long shot, since no-one's seemed to have heard of this TV mini-series, but I picked up this book off a doctor's lounge a while ago, and I thought it was a decent read. I've heard little or no information on there being a television or film version of this, but now that I have, I wanna ask... what's it like, compared to the book?

I've not read the book but I really liked the movie. I saw it when it first ran on TV and looked for the tape of it (back then it was tape). I finally found a copy on Beta. Beta was hot in the early 80's. Tried to replace it with VHS when Beta became obsolete and finally found a copy (on eBay) a few years later. I would like to have it on DVD but don't imagine that will be a possibility, because as you stated, no one seems to have heard of it. I still watch it occasionally and still think it is a good movie. So try to get a copy and see it!!!

Encore westerns channel has been showing this fine western.
You can download a monthly schedule from their website to see when it will be on again.
Hope this helps.

I've read part of the novel but never finished it. It's a lot more complicated
than you might think. More charachters as well. To ANYONE interested, give it a try. It was written by Brian Garfield.

"Written by Brian Garfield..." who's probably better remembered for his "Death Wish" books, turned into movies by Michael Winner. A few more of his stories have been turned into movies as well.

You can also buy the Kindle book and all the other Garfield books for the Kindle.
