What a waste !

Why does everyone act stupid in this movie ?
Lady Francis appeared smart for a while, but so stupid at the end.
Bobby looks dumb every scene. Does the guy even know how to display "anger" ? His friend looks obviously stupid.
The direction has been terrible !

Just not a good adaptation.

Its that man again!!

Totally disagree. This was and is considered the be a fine adaption of the book and very faithful to it as well.

reply

i agree. i think it's quite good. Certainly a lot better than the absurd, one they did a few years ago with geraldine mcewan.

Have just endured almost three hours of unbearably unrealistic characterisation and plot. After one and a half hours was reaching for the delete button on my remote! What a disappointment as I am an avid Agatha Christie fan and always scan the TV programme in the hope of catching one of her stories portrayed on film. I'm now convinced that the only filmed novels of AG worth seeing (even multiple times) are those which feature Poiret or Miss Marple! This particular dramatization was tedious beyond what any AG fan should have to endure.

reply

for your information,
1/ it was faithful to the novel, so faults are all Christie's.
2/ it was this that opened the tv adaptations of other Christie stories( you will see only 1 tv adaptation before this in 40s) because of its success

reply

It was still insufferable!
