Not really a quote but to me a funny bit. James Coco is eating from a bowl. In the background is the woman turned into a pillar of salt. He takes a taste of food, does a beautiful take, looks around to make sure he is alone, and the scrapes some salt from the woman into his bowl. This movie is filled with little bits like this which perhaps many people miss, hence the low rating. Another, the sign in the door of the sculptor. Not quite sure of the exact wording, but it was something like:
We carve what you worship.
When the baby Herschel is floating down the river in his basket, he almost makes it to Pharaoh's daughter, when another basket floats by and a baby's arm reaches out and pushes Herschel away.
This is a delightful movie, but the viewer has to be watchful and appreciative of these little bits and pieces which go to make up a wonderful comedy.
Some people have commented that this movie may be offensive to people of faith. I entirely disagree! If a person is strong in his faith he will not be offended. A strong faith is like a shield protecting itself.
