What's the story on 'Marsha'?

The actress who played Marsha, the ill fated blonde girl who appeared to have been one of the oil riggers' girlfriend, Glynn Rubin, has a small but very familiar list of credits on IMDB...Looks like she did stunts as well as acting roles, and I think she may have even doubled for Goldie Hawn...There haven't been any credits more recent than the early 90's...It seems like she could have turned into a pretty decent character actress...

Seems like in the 70's a lot of times folks were part of a "camp" of actors etc., as they seemed to show up in the same kinds of movies etc. Anyone have the back story on her?

I remember when I first saw this movie I couldn't take my eyes off of her, and then I felt bad when she took a header off of that bridge...Guess that's what happens when you wear a shiny fire engine red pantsuit and what appear to be 7" high platform shoes to go trekking cross country...

When I was young that was the only scene in this film was her going over the rails in the red pantsuit, very iconic disaster movie moment I think, wish they would bring this one out on dvd.

I remember that scene too. It was cool...

Ah I'm glad the O.P. mentioned she was a stuntwoman. That explains why she didn't really get any lines or any character development. Mostly she acted scared and climbed a lot.

Felt really bad for her when she fell from the bridge. A little bit of a lame way to get rid of her character. Her friend the brunette had the same role for the most part, but she got to live.

If you notice she did have some serious muscles, not that is what guys look at when they check her out.

OMG, yes why is it that her name is not even seen until the closing credits (at the very bottom), she has no dialogue, and she does not even survive yet ask anyone about this movie and they will say "Is that the one with the hot blonde in the red paintsuit that takes a header off of the bridge"? To Hell with Newman, Bisset, and Holden, the two seconds it takes for her to fall off the bridge eclipses anything the rest of the cast does in the whole rest of the movie. Wonder if the actress who played Marsha (Glynn Rubin) realizes that to some disaster film afficiandos she has become an icon of sorts.

I have a soft spot for actresses who take big tumbles on film. I will never get over Marsha falling off that bridge into the molten lava, wearing those glam 70s fashions, or Stella Stevens falling into a boiling vortex in POSEIDON, or Jennifer Jones slipping out an exterior lift hundreds of floors down in TOWERING INFERNO (or the blonde secretary who earlier in the same film catches fire & crashes out the window semi nude) or Lee Remick's getting pushed out a hospital top floor & landing on an ambulance in THE OMEN.
Oh, sweet memories!
