Lovecraftian Horror?
Does anyone else believe this movie is influenced by the works of HP Lovecraft, especially with it's story dealing with an outworldly being from another dimension?

Yes I can see that. I can also see some Rod Serling in here as well.
shareYeah, the alternate endings had what looked like a Fungi from Yuggoth in there.
shareHeck, the title itself is Lovecraftian. Even if it's not directly Lovecraft inspired, it holds some heavy influence from him; and it actually works much better than most direct adaptations!
