Has anyone ever noticed the trailer blooper?

OK I was a HUGE Disney buff still am anyway

For years I watched Old Disney on the videos they used to have trailers for other Disney movies

That is how I found this one....

In the trailer they have the glass breaks Karen is mouthing "Help Me" and the mother is in the background screaming "what did you see"

So me a young 7 year old was drawn to see this movie we used to watch it at every sleep over.

After seeing the movie I realized that the trailer scene I had saw NEVER happened in the movie

I carried this with me for years. Now as a mother myself I purchased the DVD to add to my collection for my own children.

For fun one night I watched it to reminise

I found the exact scene I believe it was in the deleted scenes section of the DVD

Kind of silly just wanted to see if anyone else picked up on it?

I didn't notice, but i'll re-watch and look closer.

It's not that unusual to see deleted scenes in movie trailers.

That scene was in the original 1980 theatrical release(s) of the film. I'm not certain when they made the "Walt Disney and You" commercial that used to run on the end of all of the Disney tapes, but I suspect it was probably compiled for the forthcoming video release when they were in between endings. The first two theatrical releases included that scene, but the version of the film that's around now (which was put out on video) wasn't released until 1981. Here's the promo:

YES!!! That is what led me to search for the original version, especially after reading Leonard Maltin's entry in his Movie Index that it was originally 100 minutes!!! We are so lucky to have gotten what we did on the DVD, but I still haven't given up hope of seeing all 100 minutes of it someday.
