The idea of the alien from another dimension and the teleportation that can only be achieved by making a human circle on a night of the eclipse reminded me very much of Lovecraft's stories. The design of the alien (showed only in the alternate ending) is very Lovecraftian too, he looks like a Mi-Go.

There is something of Lovecraft about it. There was an episode of 'R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour' called 'Lovecraft's Woods.' In it three young people are confronted by a strange force while they walk in the wood. I want to try and find a Lovecraft story called 'The Wood.'
