Trying to remember a similar movie
I'm trying to remember the name of a movie I saw as a kid and in my searching 'Watcher in the Woods' came up. I don't think it's the right movie but I think there might be some similarities so somebody on here might know what I'm talking about.
The film I'm pretty sure was a ghost story but my memory of it is pretty vague. I watched in class in elementary school so I don't imagine it's anything particularly intense. This would've been somewhere between 93 and 97 that I watched it but it could've been an older film.
I believe it was a period movie set either in the late 19th century or early 20th century about a girl who is sent to a boarding school up in the mountains somewhere. The scene I recall most clearly was the girls all bathing together in a big room full of tubs or maybe showers. They all wear bathing outfits but the protagonist isn't used to this and takes all her clothes off, which freaks out the other girls. One of them yells, 'she's naked!' and all the girls scream and/or laugh at her.
I also recall a scene where the girl is looking at a mirror which mysteriously breaks on its own in her hands and I think mirrors are a recurring theme in the film and have something to do with a supernatural element.
My memories of this are pretty hazy and it's even possible that I'm wrong to think it was a supernatural film but I think it was. I'm often reminded of it by other movies and it always drives me nuts not being able to remember what that film was.
