Great movie but big flaw in story

Early in the movie, it's mentioned that luke fuchs does not have a will and so when he dies his brother roy will get the dealership. Well... why doesn't he just write a will and leave roy out???

Still, one of the top comedies of all time.

reply

Bigger Flaw, if he has a daughter, she will inherit his estate. Not his brother

reply

But they also mention that the daughter hasn't been heard from since she joined a commune somewhere, so Roy L. is the only known relative.

Actually i HAVE seen a remake of the movie where he DOES re-write his will, putting Rudy Russo in as the guy to inherit the car lot.

So when he dies, Russo gets the car lot and he continues to run as it's been run before and then it ends.......great movie that.....BIG shame you weren't part of the writing team i say!

there isnt a remake.

or is there? wuts it called?

The "remake" is only available in his dreams.

The weird thing to me about the movie is that it seems like a movie and a half kinda. When they drive the guy into the electric pole, that is where most movies would end.

I did watch it on Axis channel and it was edited, so maybe it is a lot better uncut.
