TV Pilot

Anyone remember a TV pilot based on this film? It was commissioned for CBS, but it never went to series, and was dumped in the dog days of the summer of 1983 or '84. It ran only once. Deborah Harmon returned to play Barbara Jane, but the late Fred McCarren played Rudy Russo. I don't remember much else, and the pilot isn't even in the IMDB data base.

BRING OUT SEASON THREE OF "ONCE AND AGAIN" ON DVD!

I'm thinking the pilot was in released 1984 and I know it was on CBS. It was called Used Cars (duh) and starred Deborah Harmon as Barbara Fuchs, Fred McCarren as Rudy Russo, Clayton Landey as Jeff Kirkwood, Frank MacRae as Jim, and Pat Corley as Roy L Fuchs. Harmon and MacRae were the only two from the film to reprise their roles on the pilot.

It was set in Las Vegas and Barbara was the owner of a used car lot, one that her uncle wanted and was trying to get her to sell to him. It was directed by Victor Lobl, who did a sh*t ton of directing work for CBS, and written by Bob Gale, who was also a producer of the Used Cars film. After this Gale went on to co-write and co-produce the Back to the Future movies with Zemekis.
