reply

It's just a word.

lol...its not like i'm losing sleep over it...so anyway is that a yes or a no to my question?...is the word in the movie?

reply

No,it's not.

Why would you let one stupid word bother you? So much so that you'd avoid buying the movie?

Just ignore her. or better yet ask her about the oral s-e-x joke that sent her running to the Ted forum to post a thread about how offended she was.

Thank the Gods for NETFLIX!!

reply

thanks...she really needs to take a step back and reevaluate the situation...haha...do you know if the word i am talking about was in the movie?

reply

Not that I recall, but I'd have to re-watch it to see, that's so tame by todays standards I'd have to specifically look for it otherwise it probably wouldn't even register...

Thank the Gods for NETFLIX!!

reply

It's not in the movie. Even if it was why would you let one word keep you from buying a movie you enjoy? Hell do what I do when watching movies with my kids, mute out the line or the offending word with your TV remote. Words only have impact if it means anything to you? Are you a closeted gay man? Even most gay guys aren't easily offended by that word. You're an adult, there are much worse things to worry about.

Just think, with the creation of the PG-13 rating being established July 1, 1984. If the MPAA went from say 1988 and back to when the MPAA began rating movies in 1967, how many films that were rated PG would be given a PG-13 rating or even an R. Jaws (75), Sixteen Candles (84), All The President's Men (76), Poltergeist(82), Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom (84) and thousands more would all be rated PG-13 today or R today. It's a shame that would never happen, but it should.

Just find that speck on the DvD where that word is uttered in the film, and put a tiny drop of nailpolish on it.

Cheers!

..and don't forget to....

I think what you meant to say is: "They're not just words".

OP, you are a jackass. You refuse to buy the movie if someone says F V C K one time but presumably you are a-okay with domestic violence and physical abuse which makes up a large portion of the film. Grow up.

reply

Don't worry, they don't use the word you are thinking of, the actual movie line is "fudge packer"

Would Butt Pirate be more acceptable? Driving the Hershey Highway? Fagosexual? Dickpuffer?

reply
