Why not just exchange both sets of photos?

The boys have incriminating photos of the major and the major has incriminating photos of one of the boys. Why not just exchange them rather than wedge a soccer game into the film? That's one of the reasons the film SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! And I don't mean to critize Robert Downey's direction. The real culprit was the *beep* script!!!
