I agree, I also love how Liceman is accompannied by wind sounds and Iggy & the Stooges' "Gimme Danger" (one of the best songs ever) in his first few appearances!

reply

Yes! I've been an Iggy fan since the 70's. I have that green album with the song on it LOL

The Blow Up song are on Youtube now "Beat the Devil" and "Kicking Up a Fuss" Great songs.

Truly amazing collection of power pop and punk. Too bad most of the songs aren't integrated into the film or the story, and they're playing wayyyyyy too low in the background.

I liked "Yes Sir, No Sir" by the Kinks on there, too.

Does it include the songs performed by "The Landmines"? that's the only way I'd buy it. They sucked so bad, they were, as I see it, the best part of the movie!

reply

I looked at the soundtrack list of this movie on this site, and didn't find anything by The Landmines at all. Sorry.

I was actually turned on to the soundtrack first, and it got me to see the film. I agree, one of the best film tracks of it's era ( Punk/ New Wave ). It's either this or the Times Square soundtrack, to me, for the top spot .

reply

I also have the Times Square soundtrack, and I love that too!!! Come back, Robin Johnson!

reply

It is a pretty awesome soundtrack!

I played both of these movies to death (recorded on VHS from Cinemax, lol) mainly because of the music. This was before 120 Minutes and of course long before the internet, so for someone in a place where there was no alternative music stumbling upon a great soundtrack or compilation was always an exciting treat. I had heard the Robin Johnson tracks at an out of town club and tracked down the Time Square soundtrack about a year before I got to see the movie. Been too long since I watched either, I'm due for a double-feature :)
