Yay for Vadinho

It's been said before, but Vadinho - and his chin - deserved to be the star of this film. In fact he *was* the star, he did all the work. I assume they had to bring in American chap because they thought that no-one would want to see the film with an ethnic hero. If so, boo for racism!

I loved Vadinho, and felt bad that he had to hand-hold that ridiculous skinny loser Puma Puss....errr....Puma Man >> It was just tragic watching him be the real hero and getting the job done while the Puma Man bounced around like the idiot he was. Go, Vadinho, even if you are a kind of onion! :P

reply

The funny thing is, though, he apparently threw 4 innocent people out of buildings before finding the right Pumaman.

I kiss my frog in your honor!

reply

That wasn't him doing that, it was Donald Pleasance's henchmen. The editing does make it confusing, though.

reply

Racism because he was a supporting character?

When the only reason the "lead character" was the lead is because he's white...then yeah, pretty much.

Puma Man's greatest power was to play dead while Vadinho went to beat up the baddies and save the girl.

reply

Well, it was a tough job, but SOMEONE had to do it!
