Saw this on MST3K...

I was in tears laughing so hard. This ranks as one of my all time favorite MST3K episodes. But I do have to say I enjoyed the movie in how awful it is, better than huge budget flops that you can't enjoy. Puma Man simply was awful, with little to no budget and some of the worst acting, a recipe for classic "so bad it's good" film. I wish this would come out on DVD since I could only get it off the internet.

This is a classic ... in every sense of the word! A film that transcends the awful to become a wonderful experience.
I remember a friend of mine renting this in the early 80's when the video shops had just opened and the big studios seemed reluctant to release anything decent. All many of B Movies and rubbish got put out on videotape back then ... and thats how we stumbled across the PUMA MAN.
We watched it once ... then hit rewind to watch it again. Truely a timeless movie.

That movie has warped my fragile little mind.

You the guy that's been writing all the anti-Aztec graffiti on the bathroom walls? My favorite line.

If you enjoy "so bad theyre good" movies be SURE to watch Troll 2 (has nothing to do with Troll and is FAR better in the so bad its good movie category. As a matter of fact its the best in that category. Maximum Overdrive is also a great so bad its good movie

I prefer "thank you, pasta necklace"

I love this line: "you're not going to pour molten lead down my throat are you?"

All I can say about this thread is "Pumaman, he flies like a moron!"

reply

I loved it when Pleasance goes on the platform for the mask, and then you hear Mike in his Pleasance voice going "weee".

A classic MST3K episode.

My favourite's: "Meet me in the laboratory..." "...and don't ever outdress me again!"

First time Pumaman appears in costume...

Crow (as Vadinho): "Hahahahaha... no, I mean you look great!"

reply

All the variations on the theme song...but the one when Kobras dies always has me on the floor:

"Burn an old man/singe all his flesh off!"

The ultimate question: Stuffing or potatoes?

Crow (as Vadinho): "Hahahahaha... no, I mean you look great!"

That's a great one. Always gets a laugh out of me.

Let's be bad guys.

One of my fave MST3K episodes, glad they riffed this stinker

You killed Captain Clown, YOU KILLED CAPTAIN CLOWN-The Joker on Batman TAS

reply

This is a miltstone of bad superhero movies, with or without MST crew.

and I agree with OP, it's one of the most hilarious episodes MST ever done (along classics like Werewolf, Hobgoblins and Deadly Bees)

funny replies goes whenever someone in the movie says "Vadinho" and usually Crow replies "I am an onion\What kind of an onion?" or when they make fun of Donald Pleasence's "pJumaman"...

Donald: "You're just insignificant h(j)uman being"
Mike: "It's HU... wait..."

and Mike "Is that right, DJonald..."

Even MST3K couldn't save this turkey. One of my least favorite episodes and I have seen almost all of them.
