Anybody remember when this ran on HBO around 1981?
I must have watched A hundred times back then , great movie.

Yea, me too. I was about 11 years old. Back when HBO had like 10 movies a month and they'd just play 'em over and over. lol

I just found it on dvd...kind of a bootleg, but I watched it again and had 39 year-old tears. =)

I know Showtime had it back around then. Are you sure you saw it on HBO? I thought usually when one of them had a movie, the other didn't.

No, it definitely ran on HBO.

I still have an HBO Guide from May 1982, and it is in the listing there, four times that month. For trivia purposes, other titles running on HBO that same month included, "The Legend of the Lone Ranger", "Escape from New York", "The Hand", and "Salem's Lot: The Movie" (a shortened version from the mini-series.)

I also have a Cinemax/HBO Guide from January, 1985, and it shows "Touched by Love" airing on Cinemax five times that month.

I remember it aired only once on NBC as a NBC Monday Night At The Movies in 1982.

Still makes you get teary eyed! It's been about 35 years- I didn't realize Karen was in that romance kids film with Lawrence O!
