Is Gilliam's Fantasy Trilogy his personal Star Wars Trilogy?

I say so, i mean think about for a minute. "Time Bandits" is like "Star Wars" a first great of a trilogy, then "Brazil" which is almost better and darker just like "Empire Strikes Back" and "Adventures of Baron Munchausen" which is the weakest of the trilogy just like "Return of the Jedi" but solid. Now "Brothers Grimm" is the "Phantom Menace" of the Gilliam Fantasy saga but not too bad.

"Oh wow, good Nyborg"-Heavy Metal.

I can see where you're coming from by making the connection to Star Wars via inherent quality....but beyond that, there's no comparison. The good news is that reviews of Parnassus are starting to filter in and it sounds like possibly his best film yet.

It's a tender love song, very beautiful. {Whats it called?} Lick my love pump.

It is, kind of. The three films show the fantasies of a child (Time Bandits), a grown man (Brazil) and an old man (Munchausen), therefore the three ages of man.

We've got lumps of it round the back
