A sad part

Did anybody else beside me find the part with Sean Connery as Aggemenmon to be quite sad? Kevin was finally truly happy... He found a man who was much more a father to him than his real father ever was. And then he gets taken away against his will by Randall and the rest.

His name is Agamemnon, and he is soon going to be killed by his wife anyway.

Yes, I was aware it was Aggemenmon. Kevin being there might have changed the course of events.

Sorry, slight misspelling of name again... But not really a big deal.

Yup, stayed with Agamemnon, be happy, stop his murder, get older, inherit the land and kingdom ...

... change history, end the film right there and then, no fortress of ultimate darkness, or battle with pure evil, or be saved by the supreme being, yup. And we could have left the theater and gone home quite a bit sooner, though without a finished tale.

All of that to make Kevin happy in his little fantasy comprised of images of characters cellophane-taped to his closet door, never to wake up and experience his dream's lessons in real life.

What an awful story that would have been.

I found it sadder at the end. His house is destroyed and his parents dead - what's going to happen to him? And Sean Connery as the firman just drives off and leaves him. had he taken kevin with him it would have made a better ending.

Saddest part for me is when Benson exploded -

What made me sad was their rendition of "Me and My Shadow".
