Major problem with this film

Is that we see nothing for more than half of it !!!! So dark !!! I must have miss Jamie Lee fking with Leslie Nielsen.

I know the year is 1980... and it's made in my country of Canada, and films were pretty damn dark in the 80s, like Visiting Hours too or Porky but hey, the movie is not bad, it's is just my main problem !!!!

I am fairly certain the OP is confusing Terror Train with Prom Night. Prom Night's dark cinematography has been notorious for over 30 years. Terror Train actually has quite good cinematography for a movie of its type, made by longtime Kubrick collaborator John Alcott.
