Riddle me this

Why isn't this film better known? This is a searing drama about aging and the difficult interactions between the sexes and the generation. The performances are uniformly excellent, and Lee Grant did a beautiful job with the direction. 8/10 stars, but I reserve the right to upgrade when I watch it again.

I consider this little gem to be one my Favourite 10 Films. It's harrowing and beautiful. I remember seeing it for the first time and being amazed by the long take of the kiss - we never see elderly people kiss like that - we don't want to see it. Yet it was powerful and passionate and devastating.

This comes highly recommended from me!

"I want to do things that are dangerous and cutting edge."
