This is the BEST SUPERMAN MOVIE EVER!!!

I enjoyed Man of Steel (7/10) and Superman: The Movie (7/10) and even Superman Returns (6/10) but this is easily the best! Even though sometimes the humour is too slapstick and the movie can be a bit cartoonish, I had a great time watching it and I honestly thought the battle in Metropolis at the end looked fantastic for the most part (even today). This was a flawed movie, but an entertaining and fantastic one featuring an iconic villain (KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!). 9/10

Yes even though I acknowledge Superman 1978 as the better made movie, this one is my personal favorite.

I prefer Man of Steel but this film was better than the original. I've always been surprised that the scores are the opposite way around.

I agree.
I ALWAYS THOUGHT SUPERMAN 2 WAS RATED HIGHER BEFORE I SAW THE OTHER SCORES.The scores surprised me when i first saw them a few years ago.
I guest some folks do not like action that much after all and just like romance and comedy to a large extent,of course superman the movie was serious at times too.

This is my favorite of all the Supermans as well. I also agree that the first Superman (1978) was better, in terms of top-to-bottom production. And I also think that seeing the first one before Superman II, makes the sequel more enjoyable. You already understand the characters/personalities of the main characters, so there is more room for action.

There is absolutely no doubt that this is the best Superman. The new ones are mostly crap, on all counts.

It's the second best. I rate it 7 or 8/10.

The best one is Superman Returns (2006). I rate it 9/10.

Superman II (original theatrical release version) is the best superhero movie I've ever seen.

Skip the Donner cut. It's every bit as bad as the "Star Wars: Special Edition."

Watch Richard Lester's original theatrical release version instead!

In some ways, probably because I'm just old enough to have seen it in the cinema, I'd like to call it the best superhero movie ever, but yeah probably my favorite Superman movie. I love some of the newer Marvel franchise like Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, but at some point it's nice to go back before superheros became mostly CGI and appreciate the 80s-era treatment. In this case a really good storyline with some classic moments, Christopher Reeve's awesomeness, and entertaining villains. Kneel before General Zod! ;-)

I TOTALLY agree with you. This and Superman from 1978 were way ahead of their time and the two are the BEST Superman movies of all time.

This is my favorite Superman movie as well. I can remember back in 1981 when I first saw it in theaters 10/10.
Superman The Movie 9.5/10
MoS 9/10
Superman Returns 6/10
