What could be wrong about this movie....

There are some things wrong about this movie. Of course every director has artificial freedom, but I fully understand why gay people protested against this movie in the Netherlands:

- a guy is being raped and afterwards he thinks: "well, I kind of liked it, Im gay" how realistic is that?
and in a anti-gay environment such a scene will stir anti-gay feelings
Verhoeven did not even understand the feelings of the gay community
about this movie. How ignorant can one be? (this is the 80s in holland)

- a guy gets an accident and ends up in a wheelchair. You know what, lets kill myself. I mean lots of people know how to still have a great life while being
in a wheelchair, what kind of message are you sending to those people.

I am the last person to say movies should be politically correct, Im not american, im dutch, but these things I did find concerning.

The gays are a bunch of little girls, the movie is obviously pro-gay when a gay-basher turns out to be one of them. So you're "concerned" about the movie, too bad your country is no longer occupied by the Nazis or you could report it to the censors, but I'm sure the degenerate people of your sickly nation can ineffectively imitate the Reich if you try.
