Why is this not rated x?

This is basically porn with a decent story. It shoes erections and penis penetrating mouths....last I checked that is porn.

If this was the other way (vagina eating) it would be banned from countries. Such a terrible double standard and is sexist.

There are plenty of films depicting unsimulated sex and penetration that are not considered pornographic (Larry Clark's Ken Park, Patrice Chereau's Intimacy, Vincent Gallo's The Brown Bunny, to name a few). I think it was rated appropriately enough.

The sexuality in Spetters is raw and graphic but it's not pornography. Pornography is made with the sole intention of titillating and arousing the audience, whilst Spetters is just a realistic (or semi-realistic) depiction of the sexual and working lives of young people at the time. So I think you're selling the film short by dismissing it as "porn with a decent story".

Nice try but penetration is pornography even if you want to say its art it is still porn with a decent story. Just because you like it doesnt mean its not porn. I understand you will fight to keep seeing this sort of stuff and label it as art but if it was females licking each others vulva you would say otherwise. What 'R' rated movie show women eating each others vulvas? The answer is None.

If you want to see this stuff go rent a gay porn.

No, it's not. Pornography is pornography. Cinema is cinema. End of story. Try familiarizing yourself with the definitions of each before you come here spouting nonsense.

You know me well enough to make those wild assumptions regarding my character? I had no idea!

No, I'm not "labelling" the film as art. It is art and you're trying to label it as porn. And for your information, no, I wouldn't necessarily consider a film in which two women (or a man and a woman, for that matter) engage in unsimulated cunnilingus to be pornographic, either. It's all about context. I think you really need to read the proper definition of "porn" because you don't seem to have a clue what that word actually denotes.

I don't know where you are from but here in the US it had two versions. One was unrated (meaning X), the other was R. The X rated version played at art house cinemas and the R rated one showed up on cable. The R was badly edited. Virtually all the male nudity was cut out (you don't see the guys measuring their best parts and the gang rape is cut to nothing). I'm guessing you caught the uncut version.
