Best things about the movie-

The house, the basement murder/secret passage, and Barbara Steele. I had been wanting to see this for years and saw it at the mall on DVD and was surprised that it ever got released. I bought it and watched it the following day, and I thought it was decent, but the setting is what really sold it. The beach side house up on the cliff is perfect for this type of movie, and Barbara Steele was SO creepy in this, even without uttering one word. Yvonne de Carlo was great, too. Anyone know where this house is located and if the exteriors/interiors were of the same property? I'm assuming it's in California, but where?

¡Buena suerte!

Not sure where it is exactly, but I do find it hilarious that in reality, the house and the beach are 40-60 miles apart from each other. Hehe. They really did a great job fusing the settings together.

The exteriors of the house were shot in Highland Park, Los Angeles while some of the interiors were filmed in an old Victorian home on Carroll Avenue near downtown Los Angeles.
