The music ruined it

The score to this movie is so intrusive and heavy handed. It ruined almost every scene it was featured in.

I've always liked the score to this movie. Even the parts that rip off VERTIGO.

The score added to the creepy atmosphere and worked well within the mystery element of the story. It was telegraphing that something wasn't right; but was also like another character of the film and worked in well with the tone of the film. It also complimented the melancholic nostalgic song that was heard through the walls.
