I never saw the shining during it's initial release but to anyone who did...did the scene with Ullman at the end make it to the screen in it's early release?
That would probably be about two minutes.
I don't think anything was cut, to be honest. I own the 1990 144 minute version, along with the 2001 142 minute version and 2007 144 minute version. I recall reading they made some slight edits with the title screens (CLOSING DAY, 1 MONTH LATER, etc) so they match up with the soundtrack. But it's still the same movie.
