Did the evil die with Jack?

When Jack dies in the cold, did the evil force die with him or is it still there for the next unsuspecting family that stay?

I doubt it since the hotel was built on a sacred Indian site. The site was probably cursed by the Indians.

The ending seems to indicate the Evil is not gone, and likely never will be.

I always interpreted it as Jack's humanity being swallowed up by the hotel and him just being another victim of its evil deeds. I don't think it died with him, same as how it didn't die with Albert/Delbert Grady.

Plus, if the evil didn't die with Grady, it wouldn't die with Jack.
