'God, I miss that show.'

-Martin Mull, of course, referring to Star Trek. Back in the good ol' days, when there was only one. Now we've got "The Next Generation," "Deep Space Nine", and whatever others I don't even respect enough to commit to memory...

I love this movie. It reflects a simpler, more innocent time. -Simpler, anyhow. The eighties were an annoyance in real-time, but looking back, they were heaven on earth. Girls today are pretty, but they don't have half-enough hairspray.

That's very true about "Star Trek." I also love how Sam's totally attuned to Johnny Carson, and he give updates about who was on the show last night. Does anyone talk about Dave or Jay or Conan or Craig or Jimmy or Carson (Daly) the next day?

Yes, the '80s were annoying at the time, but not nearly as annoying as whatever you'd call this decade. Of course, I might point out that "Serial" is really about the late '70s, even though it was released in 1980.
