Seems like a Dane Cook movie.

It reminded me of those cheap crappy ane Cook films that keep getting made, but obviously not as bad. It's an alright movie for a date movie, but has a lot of weird goofy one liners. I didn't mind it though as Chevy is funny and Goldie is super cute but towards the end, the film kinda gave up. Starting with the court scene, then the goodbye kiss, and then the knock at the cabin. It all seemed thrown together. I'm not saying it's a bad film but a 6.4 may be too high. Compared to something like Better off Dead or Overboard, this film can't hold a candle.

And you are entitled to that opinion.

You know... I don't like Dane Cook but I really could see him as Nick if there ever was a remake... and Kate Hudson as Glenda

It's meant as an adult comedy. And is actually one of the better ones with a 30+ market focus (well, 30+ age bracket in the 1970s at least). Comedies are crappy today because they're geared for the pre-teen to 20-something demographic.

Ironically enough that makes today's audience geared for that junk, and so that's all that gets made. People don't know any better, and so when they see a slower film, but a more clever film like "Seems like Old Times" they criticize it.

Comparing a Neil Simon-penned movie to anything Dane Cook has done, is heresy...

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

I think it's much funnier than Overboard, which runs out of steam about halfway through and drags on far too long. seems like Old Times is hilarious all the way through.
