Weird Question…

Is anyone here old enough to remember the newspaper ads that ran for this movie? Is this the movie that ran ads that showed a skeletal zombie looking guy with the phrase “see the inside-out man”, or something like that? If this is that movie, then a question that has haunted me for decades, is finally answered, and I need to see this movie.

Yes, Jay, this is the movie.

In fact, go to the amazon link for the VHS tape on this board. The video box is the same ad you remember.

By the way, there is no "inside out" man in the movie. It was just a clever gimmick to spark interest and sell movie tickets at the time. I can't even figure out how they came up with this ad!

Still, a fun movie to watch, if you like old 70's Italian / American type B movies.

I found the VHS today at Entertainmart, it was only $3.99, I'll transfer it to DVDR tonight, and probably sell it back to the store this weekend. I'm pretty sure I will enjoy it, sounds like something right up my alley.

I actually prefer the American version as the opening 10 minutes are kinda creepy and the effects are well done, once it switches to the actual Italian footage it is still ok but it kinda slows down.

Yeah, this movie kicks ass! I watched it throughout my life and it never gets boring. Its so Cthulhu!

It would be sweet if they pressed this onto disc.

The tagline on the front with the bloody skeletal muscles guy says:

Theyre men turned inside out...but worse, theyre still alive!

*SPOILER*

When the guy was mutated into a fish-man, his internal organs were on the outside of his body, that's what they were referring to.

Read the whole history under "alternate versions."

"My brain rebelled, and insisted on applying logic where it was not welcome."

I think there is a sailor named Joe? who has been surgically altered to breath underwater. The process isnt completed and some of his organs are on the outside. i think that is what the inside-out man is about. and its in all versions.
