You'd have to be about seven years old to watch this and gain any enjoyment or interest from it.

I found it badly written and incredibly long-winded and boring.

I almost feel sorry for people that can't enjoy entraining cheese like this. I would think you would have to be seven years old to not like it.

I thought it had some good moments and would rate it a 6/10.

Sure, if you are looking for great and artistic film. But, what we got here is a likable film with elements of Dr, Moreau and almost Jules Verne-like proto-steam-punk. It's also a master class in how they would modify an existing film for release in different markets. There are great special features on this aspect of the film on the version I saw.

Of course, it's not as well done as we might like, but if you can't enjoy this one, your horizons for this style of adventure are severely limited.
