Me too - since my daughter accidentally erased my mother's video copy - recorded from the television . She was only 7 then - she is now 15! :-)As far as we know it has never been shown on TV since.

I don't understand why this was never released on video. It was excellent - so funny, surprisingly good acting, great storyline!

I will keep looking and if I ever come across it will definitely mail you. If you are successful please let me know at [email protected].

Good luck

Hi,
Not sure if you are still looking, and if this will help. In North Hollywood, there is a video store that rents rare movies that are not out commercially. The deal is you pay to rent a "real" video, and you can take one of the others for free (since to charge would be illegal). I hope that made sense. Anyway, its called "Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee" and they have a copy of it-in the "free" section. Great movie! They wont make copies, and Im not sure if they have any sort of mail-order business. If you live in or near L.A.-check it out.

I taped this movie when it was on TV and of course years later I transferred it to a DVD - still take it out every year or so to watch! Great fun.. only thing I can't figure out is why Annie Potts (Designing Women) wasn't credited when she did have lines.

Anyone still interested in watching this movie can go to this website. You can either preview the first few minutes or use the "DOWNLOAD FILM" link to obtain the entire movie:

If you are in the UK and have Freeview, this is on True Movies 1 at 7pm on 22/3/2016. Just in case anyone has subscribed to the thread.
