Special Edition DVD
Any possible chance that Scanners will get a special edition DVD release?

I bloody well hope so. The current version is an atrocity. How hard is it to sync the sound correctly???
share Easily one of the worst dvd releases i have ever seen. Basically don't buy it new even if it is only $9.00 it's not worth it. Buy it used for no more then $3.00.
There's a remake comin'. That would be a good time to release it. Infact, ALL of the Scanners movies, like this:

shareFor Scanners II, also include a bonus disc which has the soundtrack. Even though I have yet to see the film, I have heard that one song, Mind to Mind, and it's pretty catchy.
sharei really hope cronenberg will go into some depth about what it was like to work with patrick mcgoohan at such a rough period in his life. he does touch on it briefly in his book, but i'd really like to hear more about that working relationship.
