Alice!

Even though Alice Cooper is in this thing for about 5 minutes total, I have to say that his scene in the restaurant with the full makeup and the snake is one of his finer moments. Seeing that reminded me of when I first discovered him and his music when I was 12, and he totally freaked me out...but I liked it. Still do!

Quick question to all the other Alice fans out there, though: wasn't this made during the time when Alice was doing his glam thing, trying to distance himself from his "spooky" image thing? I thought it was, and if so, anyone know what convinced him to appear in this film as the "classic" Alice?

Well this was filmed (Early 1980)and came out in June 1980, during Alice Cooper's "From The Inside" Tour, which started in 1979. "Flush the Fashion" (1980 album which features the song he perfoms in the film) didn't come out until later in the year which is the album that moved in a new wave rock glam direction. His image then was still classic alice at least the same alice from 1975 when he went solo.

PLUS Alive Enterprises was Alice Cooper's and Blondie's management at the time.

Cooper's 1980 tour was the "Flush the Fashion" tour from June through August '80, in support of the "Flush the Fashion" album, released in late April '80. His album "From the Inside", released Nov. '78, was supported by the "Mad House Rock" tour (the one I saw), from Feb. through April '79.
