Amin

I saw 'The Last King of Scotland' a few days ago. I was born in 87 so I didn't really know anything about Idi Amin before but I have read a lot in the last few days. I was wondering if this film was worth watching for more than just gore's sake... because if all it really is is a video nasty then I'd rather stay away. I'd rather watch something that taught me more about Amin. Any suggestions? Many thanks... Jon

Yeah... The Last King of Scotland really didn't say much about the life of Idi Amin... They wanted the movie to sell in europe, so hence the name.

I think the title of the movie sums up what the movie is about. at least the story in this movie were based on the accounts of three people, a doctor who was his physician and a soldier who survived by luck.

The Rise (How He became Amin) and Fall (How he Became a Tyrant and Fled from Uganda to die in Saudi Arabia). Some Scenes in the movie might seem shocking... not that there was a beheading or some kind of slaughtering, its just that some scenes were brutal... like the torture center and the scene were innocent soldiers were shot by firing squad.

Another scary scene was his fridge... i wont tell you whats in it.. but when you watch it you can find out for yourself. If you are older than 15, then there shouldn't be anything too scary about it.

Just Read the Reviews on IMDB
