Looking for a 'titanic' movie.....

I remember watching this movie on TV in the mid 1980's.... wether it was a made for TV movie or an actualy threater movie... I don't know...

The movie was about the Titanic being discovered, in present time then, and among the discovery, sciencest find survivors STILL LIVING inside the wreckage! the boat appearntly only sunk in a few hundred feet of water. Somehow, several dozen survivors were able to shore up the hull and keep the ship livable inside, under water for nearly a century! never the less, the survivors wanted nothing with the world above, well, expect for the younger survivors who wanted to go up because they have never seen the "sun". The song "Happy days are here again" was played often in the movie.

Anyways... sorry for the "ramble", but if anyone knows of the name of this movie, or anything more about it, please reply or email me: [email protected]

thanks.

The movie you saw was "Goliath Awaits". During World War II, the passenger liner "Goliath" is sunk by a German U-boat. Portions of the ship's hull remain airtight, and some of the passengers and crew survive. Over the decades, they build an isolated, rigidly regulated world, completely isolated from the surface world until contemporary times when a diving team begins to explore the wreck. Actually a pretty cool movie compared to "Raise the Titanic", although the Clive Cussler book from which it was based was much better.
