Why didn't Cathy Moriarty have a bigger career?

She was good in Cop Land, good underrated film. She was also in Kindergarten Cop and some of the Law and Order shows. She reminds me of Louise Fletcher who won best actress for Cuckoo's Nest but didn't have many big roles after that, although Moriarty was just 20 in Raging Bull and Fletcher was 41 in CN. At least they both had steady work after their big roles, they're still acting today.
