Greatest Movie Ever Made

I've seen many and I rate this the best --- above Gone With The Wind and Casablanca --- Godfather and Godfather 2 ---

reply

Goodfellas was a bit better for me.

reply

For me this is a very close third to GF1 and 2.

reply

Nah. Even some boxing movies like Rocky, The Hurricane, Cinderella Man are better than RB.

I wouldn't even mention Rocky in the same sentence as this turd of a movie. Raging bull is laughable..from the script to the characters to the plot and pacing. The only good thing about it was the production value. They casted Moriarty who was 20 yrs old with a husky voice to play a 15 yr old girl.. Great casting job there. Also.. De Niro's character is so one dimensional that it makes you wonder why was that film ever made.

THANK YOU. Finally someone mentions The Hurricane and Cinderella Man. Both are far better. Of course as is Rocky. Hell. I'd even say Rocky 1-4 are better. Lol.

I know this is your personal opinion, but I am somehow extremely offended, LOL.

Raging Bull = Best movie

reply

No offense, but you sound like a 14 year old. Rocky is populist garbage.

reply

Agreed. Wasn't that impressed by Raging Bull either. De niro knocks it out of the park, but that's about it.

HAHAHAHA! Whew! Good one! A deconstruction of toxic masculinity has nothing on garbage like Rocky, Hurricane, Cinderella Man, etc.

best movie of the 80's for sure

So many 80s films blow the annoyed cow away that it's laughable. Why do you consider this film so great? What's so great about it?

best movie of the 80's for sure.
Reply: Amadeus, Once Upon a Time in America, and the Color Purple are all superior.

Agreed.

I wouldn't say the greatest movie but Robert de niro was way ahead of his time in this movie

reply

How was De Niro "ahead of his time" in RB? What does this mean?

Yes, I totally agree. This has been my favourite movie since I first saw it in the mid 80's and it still ranks number 1.

reply

Definitely best of the 80s.
