I sure was, the victims were a bunch of immoral scumbags who deserved what they got.

Yep, it combines the horror and revenge genres so we are on the side of the killer. Kim should have killed Nick at the end in a fit of rage after learning about his involvement. That would have been a much better ending.

Seriously when you make the people you are supposed to root for so unlikeable it makes it hard to care about them when they are in danger. Also the killer kept running which made him look less threatening.

Even Jamie Lee Curtis? It's been awhile since I watched it, but I enjoyed it, especially the sequel.

I would make an argument that it's Alex's own guilt pushing him as well as his anger at the others.
