Alright, we see janitor Sykes drunk as a skunk say that there is a killer loose. I thought nothing of it other than he may have seen something amiss but in the IMDB trivia of this movie it says that when Wendy is running away from the killer she runs into the janitor's storage area and you can see a silhouette of Sykes in the background. Those scenes are always too dark, so I don't know what they're talking about but does anyone else see it?
shareI've seen this movie countless times in countless formats, and I never noticed this— I just put my Blu-ray copy of the film in, and you definitely see someone else in the closet. When she first goes in, the camera pans back, and you can see the back of someone's head and their shoulder. It's impossible to tell who it is (I have to wonder if it's a crew member accidentally appearing), but that's certainly interesting that it's been said it's Sykes.
shareThe thing is, no one who watches this will even know who it is, or if they even notice it is another person. That whole scene is filmed pretty dark too. I had to watch it on Youtube and literally have someone point it out to me, and I still needed a couple of viewings and it still barely looked like anyone was there, you almost have to make it out with your eyes.
But if that was supposed to be a plot point they didn't let the audience in on that one because no one would ever know.
I'm likely in the top 5% of The World's Most Unobservant People, but even I saw someone in that storage room, and on my first viewing. I couldn't tell who it was, but Sykes obviously saw something!
