Anyone else think it was a shame....

...that Slick and Lou had to die for something they didn't have anything to do with?

I felt bad for Slick and Lou, especially Slick as he was completely innocent. Lou did put himself in the path of the killer by his little stunt, but he still didn't deserve to die in Nick's place since he had not been responsible for Robin's death.

Did anyone else feel this way?

I have to say their deaths were more spectacular I guess than the Kelly, Jude and Wendy deaths, because it's so dark you can hardly see those.

I feel sorry for Alex, but I was less sympathetic to him in the way he killed Slick because of Slick being an innocent party. I know he must have felt he had to kill him to keep him from getting the cops before he could kill Wendy, but still....

reply

Slick wasn't exactly innocent. He was a pothead slacker, which by slasher movie conventions means he deserves to die.

Lou was a bully, so he too had it coming.

reply

But they didn't kill Robin, so they didn't deserve to die for something they didn't do.

reply

None of them were really responsible for Robin's death. It was an accident.

reply

I agree.

reply

Yes, they were responsible for her death. She was chased at a window and fell out of it. They did not mean for her to fall, but they still chased her there and should have stopped, thinking she might get hurt. Plus, no one knows whether she was still alive or not and if it was proven that she was, their running away and not seeking help would add to their crime. But having said all of this, none of them deserved to die for her death.

He was talking about Lou and Slick dumbass

reply

The person you're calling a dumbass was responding to renatom1, who was talking about the kids, NOT Lou and Slick.

If Lou hadn't messed with Kim in the first place I doubt Alex would have killed him. It's because of his attitude and bullying that he became a victim.

reply

Well Alex wasn't punishing Lou for messing with Kim. He thought that Lou was Nick, because Lou put on Nick's jacket and the crown. It was a case of mistaken identity.

Nick can thank Lou for his little stunt or Nick would have died in a brutal fashion!

I know Lou was a bad boy type, I just didn't think he deserved to die for Robin's death when he wasn't involved. I thought he was one of the more entertaining characters as well.

reply

I think regardless he would have killed him, after all, he killed "Slick" who really had no reason to die other than being a potential witness.

I don't think he'd have killed Lou knowingly unless Lou was threatening him or a witness to something. He was relentless pursuing Slick, but I believe that was to keep him from getting the cops before Alex had a chance to kill Wendy and Nick. Alex was only interested in killing those who killed Robin, the other two were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm not sure Alex was at a place yet where he was out to kill beyond those involved in Robin's accident.

I wonder what the sequel they were originally planning would have been like. I'd have liked to seen that, even though I love the Mary Lou story of Prom Night 2.

reply

Well Lou was an assho!e so I didn't mind seeing his head go flying
But Slick was a cool kid. The killer really should have let him go.its not like he could identify who the killer was

reply

But he would have run to the cops and the killer would have had his work interrupted.

Still, I agree that Slick was cool in a nerdy kind of way 
