Private Benjamin/Big Love cast connection

I'm watching it now and I just realized that Judy's recruiter was Roman Grant on Big Love. And watching more I thought the one with the big tails at the campfire looked like Mary Kay Place but she looked so young but looking up the cast list and I was right it is here.

I just thought that was funny. They had no screen time in the movie but they were both in it and ended up on Big Love as husband and wife
