R.I.P. Eileen Brennan

One of the best damn actresses in Hollywood history. This movie would not have worked as well without her. Goldie Hawn needed a smart, funny, tough actress to work against. Bye Eileen. I'll miss you.

Indeed. I just found out that she died a few months ago. She was great in Clue and Murder by Death. I haven't seen her in much else, but I will have to dig some things up.

Love the scenes in this movie where she says that. Both of them, when she's drunk in the barracks, and later when she's muttering it to herself alone in her room. So true, when we give a good line to others we can't help but repeat it to ourselves later. My favorite Eileen Brennan scene.

She was brilliant. My favorite scene in the whole movie is when she enters the barracks for the first time. She tears down a poster of Bob Dylan saying

I know how all you ladies drool over this Fonzie character...but not in my outfit.

Fonzie, Bob Dylan. LMAO
