A ground breaker IMO
This was the first time I ever saw a military woman on TV or the movies who wasn't a nurse.
sharethe film came as a surprise to me. I wasn't aware the US army took women as soldiers. as far as i know, at that time in the UK, women could only join the ATS, which meant serving in non combatant roles - drivers, clerks, telephonists etc. seeing women doing the same training as men was very surprising.
