watching it now, nothing funny is said or happens!

I think the funniest parts were the recruiter (you knew he was lying) and then when she gets there and is hit with reality.

After that, it seems more of a drama or soap opera type movie.

the op clearly has no sense of humour i they did not get some laughs at this-captain doreen and the interaction between her and goldie hawn was hilarious.

Not surprised that you are finding a film about gender role and female empowerment not to your liking with that Chuck Noris avatar as a badge of honor.

Female empowerment? She was happy to marry the French man and would have gone through with it if he was nice to her. No female empowerment in marrying rich men and living off them only if they're nice to you. Also embarrassing a female soldier by putting her into the back of a truck with her shirt off is not female empowerment.
