I have to say they don't make horror music soundtracks like this anymore. It really sold this movie.

seems there was a soundtrack released for this film on LP record back in 1984 on ''Cerberus Records , music was done by CHRIS YOUNG!

Agreed. Christopher Young's score was excellent.
