Disappointing DVD release from Warner Bros.

The studio has been sitting on a number of Rankin & Bass Christmas specials that have, over the years, only been available on video tape. (PINOCCHIO'S CHRISTMAS, LEPRECHAUN'S CHRISTMAS GOLD, THE LIFE & ADVENTURES OF SANTA CLAUS and LITTLE DRUMMER BOY BOOK II, THE FIRST CHRISTMAS SNOW.) It seems like a no-brainer to simply package those up as a nice holiday gift set. Instead, the wizards at Warners decided to take this title and dump it in with a bunch of other Christmas classics that have already long been available on DVD. (Which means the target audience for this already owns most of the boxed set and is unlikely to rebuy everything else for the sake of one or two new goodies at a holiday season during a bad economy.) Even a business school student would have more marketing savvy.
