Most underrated/underappre ciated of the Rankin-Bass Christmas Specials

Agreed?

It's definitely one of them, along with The Leprechaun's Christmas Gold, which has very rarely been aired on TV. :( That's one of which I actually don't have a copy, in fact...

Hi,

Pinocchio's Christmas is without a doubt the last great Rankin/Bass brilliance for Christmas. The music is the best since Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and the fox and cat team are something else. 1980 was the last brilliant year of the Christmas specials of Rankin/Bass, without question.

Great insight you have i am bernie g. Pinocchio's Christmas is the step-cousin of a Rankin/Bass Christmas, even though it stands right at par with the original Rudolph and Frosty specials.

Yours,

Joseph

Yes, this one is slightly unknown compared to most Christmas shorts. That is a shame because Pinocchio's Christmas has one of the strongest plots among the specials in this category.

I am watching this right now. The last time was when I was 7 when it originally aired. I instantly remembered the Knock on wood song👍
