The cat's character is biologically incorrect

Why is the cat a fool? She would probably pull more tricks than the fox if she were scientifically faithful to her specie. Pinocchio's 'friends' would make a much funnier pair if the cat were sly and stealthy like a real one. The fox should not get all of the gimmicks in this case.
