All Italian horror movies are dreadful
Yes, you read that, I am declaring that all Italian horror movies are dreadful. They are low budget garbage and the acting is terrible pretty much all of the time. The gore effects might have been good in their day but now they are hilarious. The stories are all over the place and each scene is created as a set up for the next gore scene. The music is usually hilarious and sounds worse than the soundtrack to a porn movie from the 70's. The everyone is *beep* endings are boring and make me feel like I just wasted my time attempting to invest in the characters. Speaking of the characters, it is virtually impossible to care about any of them as they are usually so dull and one dimensional that you cannot wait for them to get killed, so at least one aspect of viewing is usually satisfied. I could go on and on about this for hours. I grew up on these movies and a few years ago thought it would be good to visit my past. Only three films still impress me. The thing because it still looks good today and is well acted with a good story. Dawn of the dead because I still care about the people trying to survive and the journey they go on is still interesting. Return of the living dead because it is still funny, well acted, filmed beautifully and has a soundtrack that never gets dull.
P.S New horror movies are usually worse.
